About the Instructors
Courses in this package are taught by Gisela Koufus and Benjamin Pearce
Gisela Koufus, Rn, C.B.S., M.A. is an Author whose educational writing specialty is in Geriatrics. She has written and copyrighted over Thirty Educational Courses in Geriatrics specifically for the education of Long-term Care Administrators and Licensed Nurses. Ms. Koufus has also authored over 170 educational modules on the Geriatric population and are used nationwide to train Certified Nursing Assistants.
Ms. Koufus has been an approved Provider of CE programs for Licensed Nurses and Nursing Home Administrators by BRN and NHA and developed and offered CE Modules for Nursing Assistants to be used by Directors of Staff Development in Long Term Care Facilities throughout the United States and continues to work in this arena.
Benjamin Pearce is the author of numerous books including Senior Living Communities: Operations Management and Marketing for Assisted Living, Congregate, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities a definitive work which summarizes two decades of senior housing operational expertise encompassing over 100 communities in 23 states, currently in its second printing published by The Johns Hopkins University Press.
Mr. Pearce teaches graduate level classes on senior housing and is a faculty member of the Real Estate Institute at New York University and Johns Hopkins University. He also serves on the editorial advisory boards of Resident Life/Assisted Living Success magazine, Briefings on Assisted Living, and Assisted Living Executive Report.
