About the Instructors

Sharon K. Brothers, MSW
brings over 30 years’ experience in senior care services to her passion as the founder and CEO of the Institute for Professional Care Education. Sharon has an advanced degree in social work and leadership experience in multi-state Assisted Living corporations. She has been a developer, owner and operator of dementia care assisted living communities and has deep expertise as an educator for all levels of staff within the care profession.
David Hahklotubbe, MA. Master of Arts degree in Gerontology, Long Term Care Administration from San Francisco State University
has been an administrator in many large facilities (80+ beds) with special units for those afflicted with dementia. David is the co-owner of Choctaw House, a 6-bed RCFE specializing in memory impairment, located in Napa, California. In addition, David is currently the host of a television show on elder care called "Successful Aging Today".
is the founder of Enhanced Moments and author of the book, Creating Moments of Joy. Jolene is also a celebrated nationwide speaker in Alzheimer’s education. She has a B.A. from Iowa State University and extensive experience with people who have Alzheimer’s. Jolene has been a keynote speaker at many conferences where family members, CNAs, and professionals share what works and doesn’t work.
Tor Edwards received her MS from Oregon State University and her PhD from Texas A&M University. She is also trained in mediation and conflict resolution. She has conducted corporate training, led community workshops, and taught at a college level. She has taken coursework in ethnic studies at both a baccalaureate and graduate level.
